Jakavi or Ruxolitinib contains the active ingredient Ruxolitinib (as phosphate). Also, this drug belongs to a group of drugs called "jak inhibitors". Jakavi is used to treat adults with myelofibrosis, adults with polycythemia vera, and patients 12 years and older with graft-versus-host disease.

What points should you know before using Jakavi medicine?

If you have ever had an allergic reaction to ruxolitinib or any of the compounds listed in Jakavi, avoid using it. Before starting to take Jakavi, the doctor will do some blood tests.
